WHY GET A FORMAL QUALIFICATION?
Need a qualification as part of a trade or occupational licence application? Ask about the relevant RPL qualification and check your state’s licensing requirements.
Apply for roles that ask for a certificate or diploma. Have your existing skills assessed against the qualification required by an employer.
If your skills assessment requires a qualification, ask whether the RPL qualification you are considering is suitable. The relevant assessing authority determines what it accepts.
A qualification does not automatically provide a licence, employment or a successful skills assessment. Each authority or employer sets its own requirements.
